How long does it take to get a dental implant?

The procedure itself can be done in 30 minutes. In most cases, after a tooth is extracted, it takes three months for the socket to fill in with bone. The implant is then placed and three months is given for the bone to attach to the implant. In some instances, the implant can be placed at the time the tooth is removed. So short answer, in a perfect world three months-most often-6 months.
