Dental technology has come a long way in recent years, and we have worked hard to incorporate it into our practice to make your experience here more comfortable than ever.

Starting with the digital x-rays we take during your evaluation and continuing through to any recommended treatment, technology helps us to make sure you receive the highest quality treatment possible.

Here are the ways we incorporate technology into our treatment on a daily basis.

CEREC Same-Day Dental Crowns

Now you can get a dental crown in just one day with CEREC technology.

In the past, getting a crown meant going into the dentist's office for at least two appointments. The first involved preparing the tooth to be crowned, then taking an impression of the remaining tooth structure using goopy impression paste. It would take a couple of weeks for your dental crown to be ready for placement at your second appointment.

With CEREC crowns, this process takes place all in the same appointment. After the tooth is prepared for the crown, a digital impression is made of the tooth structure. While you wait, this is sent to the CEREC machine located on-site, and your custom crown is made.

CEREC crowns are high-quality porcelain crowns so there is no metal ring around your gums as you might have had with traditional ceramic over metal crowns.

Laser Periodontal Therapy

Two of our hygienists now use laser periodontal therapy to turn back the clock on your gum disease. With laser therapy, we can remove inflamed tissue around the tooth root noninvasively.

The benefits of laser periodontal therapy include:

  • No need for anesthetic because the process is practically painless
  • Reduced bleeding and swelling
  • Extreme accuracy when targeting diseased areas
  • Faster recovery and healing

3-D Cone Beam Imaging

This technology enables us to take three-dimensional images of the face, neck, and teeth for a more complete way to plan treatment. It is particularly useful in planning for placement of dental implants, enabling us to be more accurate than ever.

Digital Radiographs

Dental x-rays are an essential part of your preventive care. They allow us to see beyond what can be seen by the naked eye—especially because they can be easily enlarged. This means that problems can be spotted when they are smaller and easier to treat.

Digital x-rays are faster and safer than traditional x-rays. Less radiation is emitted from digital x-rays, so you can feel good about their safety. Because they are digital, they are much faster since we don't have to wait for film to be developed. In addition, they are easily emailed to your insurance company, so treatment delays are less common.

Digital Records

We now offer our patients the convenience and efficiency of digital records. What this means for you is that not only can your records be brought up immediately right in front of you, but there is no opportunity for lost or misplaced patient files. Errors that occur from hand-transcribing are a thing of the past, so your information is accurate.
